Adopt A Crew is a concept that allows for local Citizens of Cowpens to become more involved with crew members of both the USS Cowpens CVL-25 from World War II and the modern day CG-63. Local citizens "adopt" a crew member and their family which creates lifelong relationships. This portion of the festival is highlighted by a private meal known as the Adopt A Crew Dinner. During this time crew members and their adoptive families gather for a time of food, fellowship, and other exciting activities. If you are interested in becoming an adoptive parent of a crew member, please contact Jan Humphries, (Adopt A Crew Coordinator), at one of the methods listed to the right, and request your name be placed on a list for future crew members that may need "parents."
