We are looking forward to having you come join the fun and meet some outstanding, humble, heroic, honorable men and women who have served our country so well. And believe us…You really don’t know what you’re missing if you’ve never been to Mighty Moo before. The people and community here are supportive, proud and honored to recognize all who served (past & present) onboard the two greatest ships in the history of the US Navy! U.S.S. Cowpens Reunion Association, Bill Kuntz-Treasurer, 352 Owasso Ave., Fairlawn, OH 44333 Reunion Hotel: Reservation deadline is June 1st Radisson Hotel & Suites, 9027 Fairforest Rd., Spartanburg, SC 29301 (Intersection of Business I-85 & I-26 take exit 2C hotel is just beyond the Cracker Barrel) Toll free 800-333-3333 or direct to hotel at 864-574-2111 – tell them you are with the USS Cowpens Reunion to ensure the group rate. Rooms are: 2 Queen beds - $63.00, or 1 King bed - $64.00 per night + taxes. Rooms are big and clean with coffee pot, hair dryer, ironing board, and all comforts of home. NO STAIRS to climb with elevators to each floor. Handicapped rooms are available. No meals are included; the hotel has a nice restaurant and bar, and many food establishments are nearby. The official time of the reunion is Wednesday, June 11th – Saturday, June 14th, though many people come as early as Sunday of that week. The rates for the rooms are the same no matter your arrival date. Reunion Registration table is set up in the lobby across from the hotel’s registration desk. The reunion wraps up on Saturday evening with a nice dinner/banquet buffet held at the hotel. Cocktail hour is 6:00pm and dinner is 7:00-10:00pm. The dinner menu is great with prime rib, grilled chicken breast, green beans, tossed salad, stuffed baked potato, rice pilaf, and many wonderful desserts. The cost is $29 per adult and $11 per child (10 and under); price includes tax & gratuity. Make your reservation early….the deadline is June 1st. Send names of those to attend along with a check made payable to Cowpens Reunion; mail to: Carswell Wynne, 107 Mary Lane, Warner Robins, GA 31088. Your tickets will be given to you upon registration at the reunion. This event is for all visiting crewmen and their families at no cost. All that’s asked is that you contact her to give the names in your group of who will attend. She will then “adopt” you to a local family in Cowpens who will share dinner with you at this evening of fun, fellowship and great food. It’s truly a highlight of the whole Mighty Moo experience for our veterans! Y’all come on down and spend some time with us in Cowpens, SC…hope to see you there!
